Last summer I went to the Edmonton Folk Festival. At night while the musicians played, people bought candles and sat on the side of hills to hang out. I was memorized by the beauty of the lights (as well as my camera), and so I started playing with the camera aperture to see what different things I could do in this setting. I was having so much fun with my results, that I showed someone else how to do the same thing so that she too could produce the effect.

Letting a little more light in to the sensor gave me some prettier colours to work with:
