Philip Sparks Fall 2011 Pt.1

Last night Philip Sparks showed his brand new Fall 2011 collection to Toronto media, designers, friends, family, and fans. It was an inspiring show that left us breathless. Philip's specific attention to detail was evident throughout his collection: from the lady tuxedo, to tailored jackets, to printed fabrics. The use of sheep's wool brought forth a new element of 'Canadian-chic'.

This unique blouse has an innovative design, as the fabric print originated from a gorgeous hand-taken photo of the Canadian maple leaf. The asymmetrical lines and gradation in the colour make it suitable for any fashion-forward female.

Pattern craze is 'in' for the fall, and when paired with bold and tailored clothing, it gives an element of class. But don't be fooled by the outward appearance of the clothing, because Philip lined a male jean with fleece for added comfort and warmth. Which is exactly what every Canadian needs when the cold autumn days turn into cold winter nights.

For the fall it will be time to put away the loose and over-sized apparel as we shift towards fine 'Tailored Goods'. Philip shows us that we can elegantly showcase our male and female structures with perfectly cut and lined plaids. With the top quality fabrics and fine hand stitching, Philip's new fall line is timeless.
